I could cry..but I won't: window motors/regulator question

Ok, so I have replaced both front window motors in my 1985 320i
Both windows go down great.
They crawl upward: to the point where I'm afraid I'll burn the motors out.

I think I may be asking the obvious here, but would that point to the lifters both being shot?
The lifters, being #11 here:

ps. I have greased the hell out of the guides, forcing grease into the channell(s) in the hopes that would help.
