325 SPORT OR "NOT" A SPORT!!!
Moderator: martauto
hello there ive just recently bought my first bmw, a 1990 325 sport,
so im quite new to this game!! this may seem a silly question but
how do i tell the car ive bought is a true sport!!!? and whats the differance
from just a 325 apart from the obvious bodykit and leather trim?

As said, Anthracite roof lining, opening rear windows, LSD, map lights. Those are the things I would check to make sure its a sport. If you want, you can take the registration number to your local dealer and they should be able to do you a printout.

Not a guarantee, not all sports will have it on the V5, same as the motorsport cabs, not all have motorsport on the V5.rowemeister wrote:One very simple way is to look @ the V5 document. Its will say 325i sport if it is

You can apply to the DVLA to have the name on the V5 changed, I should have said it the other way around, you can get sports that have been made to look like sports, and apply to have sport added, so if it says sport on the V5, it does not guarantee it left the dealer as a sport.rowemeister wrote:Why is that then?
100% way of finding out is ring the dealer with the last 7 digits of the chassis number, nice and simple, they can tell you what the car should be fitted with the same time then.
