ok ongoin problem i havent dealt with now i think its time, i turn the key in the drivers door but it does not lock and the pin does not move, any ideas

Does this car have central locking? If so, do any of the other locks lock when you turn the driver's key?

the doors only lock sometimes, do you have to take out the lock to repair

remove the door card (dont forget the hidden screw behind the mirror adjust button) and inspect as will says, there is a lever inside that moves both the lock and the central locking switch, if its broken or misalligned then you will have these exact symptoms
