Had a bit of judder/vibration when braking which developed recently which I put down to warped discs. Put new discs and pads on it last weekend which has improved things but its not completely gone, now I'm wondering what else it could be.
The guide pins on the caliper bracket have quite a bit of play in them. I did some swapping about with pins from a spare caliper and the play is still there, suggesting the wear is in the bracket not the pin. Looks like the pin fits into a bush pressed into the bracket, is is possible to replace these?
I have had the same judder when I bought the car and it was cured with new control arms as the balljoints were knackered. This would be just over a year ago, I'd like to think they'd last a bit longer than that? Couldn't feel any movement in them but need to have a closer look.
Track rods were done last week, top mounts are in the pipeline. Can't think of anything else that I should be looking at? Definitely feels like its coming from the front end.
Brake judder (guide pins?)
