First of all, which connector is supposed to sit where?
The socket which is higher up on the thermostat housing has just one pin, is this for the blue or the brown plug?
The gauge will go mad when the engine is running once it has got warm. Literally bouncing all over the place, and indicating that the engine is hot when on the power, on overrun it sometimes drops back down.
If you sit it at a standstill, when the needle is near the red, switch off the ignition, but then switch it straight back on, it sits just under half. Which is where I would expect it to be, and I'm guessing (hoping) that it is isn't actually overheating.
Any suggestions?
There is no other indication that it is overheating.
Doesn't boil over, and the blower is just warm.
