droopy headlining

sadly the headlining on my new touring has a sag on. is there an easy fix to this, or a trick to stick it back up.

If you open the rear doors and pull the door seal down from the roof bit(ie 12 oclock) then pull the lining away slightly and use some spray adhesive to spray in the gap, then using a large towel folded up push the lining up untill it holds. If you get what i mean

Thats what I did anyway, did the trick.

Rip the whole thing off and replace it with nice black suede material

Can you buy a hole new headlining? I seen on wheeler dealers ed changing the headlining on a range rover. I would like to do a black headlining but I want a realy good job

whatever you do get some other poor soul to do the job for you.

I did it myself, and it was the worst thing I have ever done in my life bar nothing - operations, divorce, buying a house, all a walk in the park compared to recovering a headlining and getting it right!

I didn't find it that tricky. The first time I did it the material was too thick and heavy and it was impossible to get it smooth around the sun visors/check control area. Ripped that off and used a much lighter cloth and it was very straight forward and still looking good 2 years later. I have the benefit of not having a sunroof to contend with though.

I spose what I mean is the re-fitting of the headlining back into the car - fine if there's 2 of you - if not it's very difficult!

Its not that bad a job, the ballache part of it is if you've got a sunroof, scraping the old glue away, lifting & aligning the new lining in you really need 2 people, I got mine from Cotswold BMW, if you do get a new one make sure you tell the dealer if the vehicle has a dog guard, check control,sunroof (specify manual or electric), they recommend you collect them, they don't like sending it via courier.
