It has been said here that the 2 connections on the top right are looped together and are for an ignition immobiliser.

On my 1992 cab there is a proper plug with harness wires that lead off somewhere behind the central dash (haven't yet traced them).

Is this likely to be a prior burglar alarm fitting? The plug and wiring do look "BMW original".

Immobiliser connections are NOT on the accessory panel! The immobiliser socket hangs down from the loom above the centre of the glovebox, and is white with two green wires.
