can somebody tell me which model of bmw i can remove the gear linkage from thats the correct length to suit my e30 m50?

the gearbox i am using came with the engine and was removed from a 1994 525i.

Or Z3 if you wish to angle the knob further forwards or backwards to suit your reach/comfort.
