E36 M3 conversion is around £5-£6k DIY. I think Ant will supply a supercharger kit for an M20 for about £3k giving around 290bhp plus warranty on parts

What he said as long as youve got a 325 to start with and not a 316
Would imagine the supercharger conversion would be cheapest, quickest and easyest to do but wouldn't be quite as powerfull as an M3 conversion.
Depends how quick you want it done an how deep your pockets are

Now before I'd finished my S50 swap I'd say go for the supercharger. Now I'm driving it I can only reccommend an S50. Got an E30? Fit an S50. Got an M3? Fit an S50. Got a robin reliant? Fit an S50......
The power delivery is awesome. I thought the car was going to be an animal but it's smooth and refined, effortless and deceivingly quick. When I started driving it I was dissapointed, till I realised it was soo much quicker than most things on the road and only felt slow because the power came in so progressively.
I love the idea of supercharging it though.....

O/T Jai, i know exactly what you mean about being disapointed, when i got my first eaton build back from being mapped it was so smooth with no real kick through the rev range that it didnt feel very quick but after a few traffic light GP's it soon became clear it was pritty quick although not S50 quick.
which is why ive got for the rotrex this time as it deffinalty has a kick ad is more in the keeping of the IS

Haha, I've been thinking about this for quite some time now.ross_jsy wrote:awesome, thats exactly the power and torque (and power delivery) i would be after
Maybe hold back and see how yours turns out!
I'd love to turbo, but dont know where to begin. Apparently Ant's kit is everything you need and can run well on stock internals.
I still need to get a book on FI and actually learn properly how it works and what needs to be done

Uni is killing the project.
