If the window motor spins can it be bad?

1) drivers window won't go up or down
2) the motor will spin both directions if removed from it's housing in the window mechanism
3) the regulator/track is reasonably well greased

what say you?

ps. it seems the issue degraded: because it used to go DOWN, but not up(extremely slowly until it stopped altogether)Now it just won't move at all: did the motor die a slow death?

oh, it was easy!

Just surfed "bmw" on my local Craigslist, and bam!
Found myself handing over $750.00 to this guy without knowing what I was even doing!
