I've recently bought a 325i Cabriolet Automatic ( will post a pic soon ), but it's very heavy on fuel. It's done 182000km but never even comes close to the listed fuel economy in it's booklet. According to BMW it should do 12.5l per 100km on urban roads, and 9l per 100km on the highways. But it's more to the line of 17l per 100km urban, and 14l per 100 km highway. The air intake sensor was replaced recently, but it's still very heavy on fuel. Anyone got some tips as to what I can look at??

Maybe your AFM is knackered?
My 320i was drinking more than my m5. Ant suggested I check the AFM. The spring was certainly very very loose and I decided to change it.
Since new AFM I'm getting a good 28mpg on motorways and A roads + around 24 mpg around town. Before it wasnt even doing half that!
