Hi folks,

Been considering supercharging my 325i. I was recommended a kit from a company called "Lowren Design", supposidly a Canadian mob who provide the whole kit. Again supposidly, someone (member from Aberdeen?) has already installed a Lowren kit on his 325i. If that person is out there: how did you get on? Is it worth it? Where can I get one?

I can't find diddley squat on this company (Gogglin' ain't helpin'), and the others I've got in touch with just said "we've stopped making M20 kits due to lack of interest". So, if anyone knows anything about 'em - or any other supercharger kit available for the M20 engine - please let me know.

THANK YOU!

Lentec's your man to speak to about superchargers, not that his was a kit, all his own hard work and alot of elbow grease i would imagine. He may have heard of that company i haven't i'm afraid. look at the thread in forced induction called "update" lentec posts there all the time with, guess what, updates. Plus there is a link to his website so you can have a look at his chosen supercharger route.

Hope this helps a small bit.

But isn't "Lowren Design", incredably dogdy and loads of people have lost their money with them?

I am sure there are loads of Eton superchargers knocking around at the moment from people upgrading the ones on Cooper S.

Don't know how compatible they are with M20,but Lentec will be your man.

I doubt the Cooper S supercharger would work on anything above 2.0litres, though thanks for the suggestion.

Seems like it doesn't matter anyway, I emailed them and got this reply:
Unfortantly the SC kit will not fit on RHD cars in the UK.
Oh well.

So, if there's no kit is there a tech article somewhere about putting together your own kit?
