Are Y and F reg power steering racks the same? (e30 325i)

My cars a F reg and I am hoping to fit a y reg one providing its compatible

Y reg is very early and they did not make 325's in those days!! only the 323.

However the rack should fit as i have not heard of any major changes.

Any standard e30 pas rack is a waste of a journey and some cash. upgrade to e36/e46/z3!!! :D

Look it up on realoem.
Check in for an 83 320 then see if the part number is the same for an F plate vehicle.

i think the later racks are alli and earlier ones are not !!! im sure there is a difference, im gonna say no, there not the same mate ?
