I washed it, then a bird did a massive crap all over the back! :x so I took it to this really good hand car wash place I know. I have to say it does scrub up rather well. The paint work has a nice finish.

I'm pretty gash at taking pictures but here's some that I took this evening.

Photos probably don't do the car justice. I Need to respray the mirrors but they are still an improvment on the nasty DTM's it had when I bought it. :D

Looks tidy. And slightly less chavvy without the brows :thumb:
I think you should try tech1 front and rear bumpers/skirts. I think it could work. You could still chav 'em up a bit by smoovin the grooves along the bottom edge and using air soops rather than fogs. winkeye

Cheers guys!

Oakey, I like then rieger kit, but the front and rear bumpers are not sitting right. I plan to get it into a specialist body shop that I know to get them refitted.

On the other hand I'd rather be spending on the mechanicals as I am planning a re-shell in a year or two.

I got a quote on the welding that needs doing on the 318 I have. If I can get that shell solid and rust free, it could turn out nice. winkeye

One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job. Had to take a trip out today to see some pigs. Pork is one of the most intensively farmed of all farm animals (apart from chicken). So I recently went on the search for some real quality free range pork. A free pig is a happy pig! My search took me just 7 miles from our place to a farm in the middle of the Welsh Hills. Some great scenery on the way there so I stopped and took some snaps on the way back.

I'm quite chuffed with them. What do you think?

I did wonder before I left whether I should have gone in the volvo. The slammed chavvy beemer is least at home on rocky single tracks and there was a few miles of them. Managed to get there with a bit of 'slowly carefully does it!'.... :?

Cheers for the good comments all! :D

One of the fat pigs in the first picture is me.... :chuckle:

Anyone any good at photoshop? There's a couple of half decent snaps fit for bannerdom there..... winkeye

Just watch it on the roads around here - there's nothing worse than the sound of splintering fiberglass to make you feel sick

It's Ok Daf! I'm always weary about it!

No real drama though cos this car doesn't have a massive life expectancy. winkeye - My other shell's going away on Wednesday for some extreme welding... winkeye

No big immediate plans. Going to be a bit more drawn out this one. Lack of funds and time is a big issue. A superb local welder came in at a great price for getting some patchwork on the shell though, on a 'pay as and when I have it' basis. Suits me perfect cos I just can't spend much time on cars at the mo.

It's going to have 2 doors and it's going to be dolphin grey. That's about the only plans that are concrete so far.

Bob, I know what you mean. I've had a few unpleasant scrapes in this. I'm gettin quite good at sussin what it will and what it won't go over though!

Old thread bump!!!

Remember the little piggies in these pictures? Well one of them arrived at our place this morning, dead and in a few bits, so I have spent the last few hours butchering pork.

I have a fair bit of experience of preparing various cuts of meat but I've never had to butcher a whole pig before. The trickiest part was boning out the hind legs and the shoulders. Managed it rather well so I was pretty chuffed!!

Locally bred free range pork hitting the specials board very soon. :D
