I took some piccies different location today... I have not posted up any since I had my style 42 BBS splits re-furbed by Lepsons and I have raised up the rear suspension as it was too low !

Anyway here she is as of today...

Very nice car and colour, not a fan of either the wheels or clear indicators though.
Apart from that, gorgeous example.

The B,s you had on before, just a personal opionion, but the wheels sort of look to modern on there. Having said that, i don,t
even know what the age of them is. :)

I never owned the Borbets unfortunately, otherwise they would still be on there ! I know what you mean about them being a little modern, I like style 5s too but they have been done to death so I wanted to be different.

Tony, I will go for the de-chrome maybe once my brightwork goes to cock, it's ok at the moment and the grandad chrome kind of suits it.

Would be a crime to de chrome, contrasts beautifully with the green paintwork,
and the tints imho. My bad mate, did,nt realise you never owned the B,s, which just goes to
show how much of an impact this car made on me when i first saw it..

Think I've said it before, but I think it looks best on the throwing stars. Still a lovely car whichever way you slice it and whatever the rolling stock. I'm guessing most zoners will like the e28 too, they're a bit like the e30's big brother!

The refurbished wheels look spot on, I didn't want to drag myself away from your car when we met at Ant's workshop.

I know, but I don' t thing the clear ones look right on a dark car. I tried the red tint stuff, but it slowly goes back to orange. May try that again over the winter.

In all honesty, she scrubs up ok and is rot free, bot there are a number of dents and scratches and the paint is different colours here and there due to a keying incident before I owned it. But if it was perfect I would be loathed to track it, when it needs doing I will get a decent paint job done it.

For now I am just enjoying it as it is. winkeye

O/T: I have found my red tints on the touring have gone back to Orange despite being oven baked according to the seller?

Any ideas?

What a lovely E28, they are getting thin on the ground now so worth keeping her up together imo...
