Removing horseshoe vinyl

Have been told i can remove the vinyl from my horseshoe and the car colour should be under it, is this true and has anyone done it?

Can,t see that being right mate, surely the vinyl would
be stuck on with some kind of adhesive, which would just rip
the paint off.?

Looks like the spray gun has got to come out then, changed the door cards and now the horse shoe doesn't match .

its very heavy to send mate, i can bubble wrap it if you can send your own courier.
