Hi Kirby,

No chance of that as the Alpina is at home, and the M3 seats are too bloody uncomforable to nap in.

Good day out, had a small hiccup with a slipping clutch in the morning but was fine in the afternoon.

Nearly had the chance to get wets on but just didn`t rain long enough to justify changing the tyres.

Abingdon for an airfield circuit is quite a nice venue and is good value for money. I did Woodbridge last month and although excellently run ( Javelin ) was dissapointed with the venue, mainly due to the rough abrasive surface.

Anyway all in all a good day out.

cheers,

Dave

Mr toecutter you sound like you could be the answer to my wheel prayers, what would be the damage for them? Sorry I havnt been on for a week so didn't see your post! Within that time I managed to buy myself some bent, wrong offset wheels like a complete tool!!!

Had excellent day at track today! Nice to meet you guys. Thought Abingdon was a good circuit for learning on. It was getting quite lairy by the end of the day. Need to open the wallet before next time I think.
Wouldn't have minded a ride in the pug or the m30 wagon, like you say not really enough time.

Cheers Jody

Had a great day and the M30 turd performed faultlessly, very pleased with my new tyres and brakes. On the pads you can hardly see any wear after 150miles of hard track use and I can now lock the fronts up even with sticky R888s :D

Tyres proved great, fantastic in the wet and after I started the slow in fast out lines I was getting very little wear from them :D

Need more camber on the front and to sort the rear spring rates as the back end was abit wayward and too soft allowing the front inside tyre to lift of the tarmac on one corner...

Was pretty dissapointed with the M5, just too big and heavy for that track. On the other side of the coin was the M3, thanks Dave for the ride, was the highlight of the day!

Glad the yellows worked for you, I was pretty sure you wouldn't fade them.

Also thanks to Dave, for taking me out, as per normal :) . Love that car. 8)

I wanna go back now...especially as I just got an email with the link to the photos. They are a bit better than last time, but nothing that interesting.

I think I know why my r888's were not that great in the wet. Because half of them were all ready worn out! Meaning that there was pretty much no water displacing ability. Don't get me wrong, they were not bad, but they could have been better if I had some tread left.
