It’s been a couple of months since Trackaction-Online last went drifting at Oulton so we felt the need for a bit more sideways playing!

We’re back on the drift courses again on Saturday Sept 26th and as usual, club discounts are available if you’d like to come along.

For anyone that hasn’t seen the two drift courses at Oulton, they look like this ”“

And this is what we do on them ”“

The surface is a special low friction tarmac that will give virtually zero tyre wear and is great for practicing drifting and car control and we always limit the numbers to ensure that everyone gets plenty of tracktime. Pretty well any rear wheel drive (and most sporty 4wd) car can drift on here and with the free instruction that we always have available on the day you can be sure that you’ll be drifting like a pro in no time!

Normal rate for the day is £140 but club members can come along for just £120, passengers are welcome to sign in for £10 and extra drivers for £35. Please shout up on this thread if you’d like to come and I’ll send you the booking details and discount code.

Hope a few of you can make it.

£120 gets you the whole day, we kick off at 9am, take an hour for lunch and then finish at 5pm so you get plenty of time on track  .

Have you done any trackdays yet leon ?????,, we are off to mallory which is a good fun and easy to learn track with a nice tight hairpin for putting the drifting to good use.

There is a race meeting on that day so I think it will be about £10-15 for adults, usually free for kids but there will be plenty to watch as your lad will no doubt enjoy the racing as well.

There’s more photos of some of the cars HERE and a bit of video HERE

Just want to say thanks to all those that came along, it was a really friendly group with people blagging rides in each other cars etc ”“ makes it an enjoyable day to run.

We’re looking forward to our trackday now at Oulton on Nov 13th and our next driftday will be on Dec 19th so I’ll be posting a thread up about that one soon, hope to see some of you there!

Cheers

It was good to meet you again Steve... I may even have a crack at drifting in the racer in December...assuming I've repaired the engine by then of course!

Not really! I missed qualifying 1 because the engine wouldn't fire up (even though it was fine on and off the trailer), then when we changed the plugs for some others and it fired up, it did 4 laps and threw a piston ring....game over!

The really annoying thing is I qualified ahead of 3 or 4 other class A cars on the third lap whilst still bedding in my brakes!
