Following another recent thread on here, a couple of people showed an interest in some carbon fibre front door / rear door/panel trims.

These can be viewed in the performance-trim website.
http://www.performance-trim.com/product ... oduct_id=6

I have had an email from Mike today confirming that there is still a 10% discount available for 5+ buys and a 15% discount for 10+.

Current prices are:
2 door front, 4 door front and 4 door rears £97.75
2 door rears £86.25

With 5 to 10 buyers (10% discount) this would be:
2 door front, 4 door front and 4 door rears £87.97
2 door rears £77.62

With 10 plus buyers (15% discount) this would be:
2 door front, 4 door front and 4 door rears £83.10
2 door rears £73.32

Postage on this would be circa £2 per person to my house (from Performance Trim as they wont send individually), and then Id post out at cost.

Prices HAVE gone up since the last thread as the company have become VAT registered, but (thanks to Gordon 'Scrooge' Brown VAT is now 15%).
Going to post a link to this on the PBMW forum as the more people we get the cheaper it'll will be.

Anyone else interested?
Although I know its not the most affluent time of year.....

Lee,
If your buying for the front AND rears then that would be 2 x the higher price. Can you confirm whether you wants fronts AND rears?

So far so good:
1. Ste M
2. rix313
3. zerocool
4. ks652
5. lee

Thats (at least) the five sets needed for our 10% discount :D
Can the rest of you confirm whether you want 2 door fronts, 4 door fronts, 2 door rears and/or 4 door rears?

m4xos,
There is a link at the top of this thread which doesnt really show much, but, I was going to use a few short self tapping screws with bevelled washers so that it sits flush.

As per the website, you can request any/all of those holes pre-cut ready for fitting.

Hi folks,

I started a group buy in the USA, but the factory said that anyone could join. We already have more than 10 people, so it'll be a 15% discount. If you've been waiting for another GB to lower the cost, here is your chance! :)

Here is the thread on the R3V forum, that I'm using as a focal point:

List price is £97.75 for the front, and £86.25 for rear quarter trims. Now subtract 15% :)

Here is the factory web site, with all the details:

Sure. Or I'd be glad to -- as long as both of us don't do it. :)

Not at all! I'm handling the bulk shipment to the US, and then distributing it. The factory will ships yours directly to you -- no difference from the UK group buy.

For the front panels, do you want the smaller 'race' version, or the larger 'street' version, covering the whole door? Also, I assume the standard 1.5 mm thickness, not 0.8 mm?

Folks,

I have a favor to ask of you. For several days, I've been trying to get a hold of Mike (the owner of Performance Trim), without success. He hasn't responded to e-mails from several interested buyers in the US, nor my e-mails and voice-mails.

I've talked to Mike a couple of times on the phone early on, and he promptly responded to my initial e-mails, but now I'm getting concerned about proceeding with this GB. Since it's a bit of a pain for me to call him from the US, can you try calling him?

Also, have any of you in the UK already made a payment?

TIA,
Alex

hi, i was starting to get a bit concerned myself.

i copied you in to my email as requested but i havent recieved a reply or made any payments as the email i sent was to confirm the total price per your instructions.

i was going to wait until monday, in case he was away last week, and see if he replied.

Yep, I saw your e-mail. Hold off on your payment until we straighten this out.

If this deal falls through, I found another source in the US, that can make these panels for the same price. Of course the shipping situation would be reversed for you guys in the UK.
