MINT BLACK LEATHERS MTECH STRIPES IN SEATS WANT TO DYE RED.?

Hi all i have full black leather seats with mtech stripes on them in my e30 convertible and want to either swap them for ox blood red leathers or is it possible to dye them red..? is there anybody on the fourm that can dye the leathers to red.? thank you all.

Very difficult to dye a fabric/leather to a lighter colour.
Much easier to start with a light colour,say beige or grey,and dye that red.
Why not look out for a set of seats in a light colour to dye,then sell your black set?

It was very difficult to get an even colour over the entire seat of mine even though I was just bringing back the original colour. The colour was slightly darker to start with (the same as the headrest) obviously due to wear and dirt over the years...

Hi all thanks for the input, First of all i would want a perfect finish so whats the chances of that if i try and dye them.?


Also e30unitsoldier my seats are very very very good condition with the stripes stiched in not pinned in, what is the condition of yours.? any craks etc.? mine have no craks what so ever..
