Hello,

I'm trying to identify some headlights and am sure I saw some on Ebay but they had gone before I got a bid in. :(

The ones in question are like these:

The car had been vandalised before I bought it so all 4 lights were smashed.

I've trawled Ebay but all the ones on there have plastic backings not metal. I need the metal ones as a couple of the inner bits are too badly corroded to refurbish despite my best efforts.

I don't think they are original upgrades as they have tabs welded on them to get them mounted.

They are for this:

Look to be V early Chrome bumper E30 lights/surrounds.

I may have a set, call me tomorrow @ the unit and I'll have a gander :thumb:

That car was on Ebay a few months back iirc, been stood a long time yes ?

That's the one. I just felt so sorry for it from the two tiny pictures:

So I'm doing my best to sort it out, as I said most of the problems are down to vandalism, struggling with the wiring as a lot was chopped off so not managed to get it running yet, it turns over on the key but can't get a spark.

I'm in Rotherham. :-)

I'm on a limited budget at the minute as I'm spending every spare penny on my house as it's for sale so things are a bit slow going but I'm bodging stuff as best I can.... lol.

hi these are the twin headlight optional extra they used the e21 headlights. i used i think it was gsxr headlights which gives you 55w 60 dip/ full in all lights you will need to fit relays into the wiring.a very good upgrade. i fitted fussed relays by the battery just cut the wiring to the lights at that point. you will have to use the bowls you have and just cut out a small piece for the side lights also force your chrome fitting rings over the bike headlight chrome rings. i bought mine off a bike breaker on ebay for £40 for the four lights carriers and wiring. best of luck with the resto. :P

Found some NOS inner lights on Ebay for a tenner each. Just waiting for delivery of the outers. Not turned out too bad considering the state they were in.

Are the wing extensions steel or fibreglass?

Fibreglass.

From poking about it apart from the bodged up engine - it's a carb engine not the correct Tii injection one. I think someone did put quite a bit of cash and effort into having it fitted and looking after the car in general at one point.

The engine is a pain in the arse as it's neither one thing or the other and is a nuisance to try and work on. :(
