Oh dear, the bonnet hinges at the front on two plates.Remove the two bolts from each plate that pass through solid holes and loosen the two bolts(one each side!) that sit in a groove.
Leave the black damper thingy
alone ane remove the clip from the bonnet end of the support stut.Lift bonnet off carefully to avoid paint finish damage....
To re-fit,push the hinges to the 'down' position, not the 'closed'position, lay the bonnet on the car and slide forward to engage the two bolts on their grooves, open the bonnet and fit the strut, then replace the other two bolts in each hinge plate.
Before removing the bonnet, mark each hinge plate verticaly and horizontaly with a pencil to give a starting point for re-alienment.

Just like that. i did mine about 3 weeks ago, i would recomend getting some one to give you a lift though just to hold on to the bonnet while its unbolted/bolted it can have a mind of its own especially if its windy. the last thing you wanna do is drop it on ya paintwork!

I am attempting this when spring arrives. Where is the best place to disconnect the wiper fluid hose?
