at the moment i have a 4dr 91 e30 and the other half has a 87 coupe, both great cars.. til u try driving anywhere in the lakes.. the speed doesnt even register cos it gets so gridlocked. I have an 11 week old son who would get boiled if i get stuck in traffic so am thinking of getting an e30 with aircon cos i love the car, and his car seat fits perfectly and no faffing at switching airbags off like modern cars

i think it adjusts to suit weather temps, and circulates it better, just more accurate and more comfortable in car temp, but it is the only one ive seen on an e30 , they are out there somewhere but are quite rare.Widge wrote:Wot the car or the air con? Over here its different its hard to find a E30 WITHOUT aircon. I think it was the first thing people ordered for their car. It gets pretty hot in SA. so you need to stay cool

I've AIR CON in my 325.. Wish I had climate though.
climate is sh1t hot had it my V-TEC Prelude. All it does is allow you select a temp and it keeps the car at that.. If it gets warmer as little cool air is blown in etc... AIR CON just freezes your nuts of !!

Do you know what the brake booster looks like? its a big round thing on the passengers side of the car, there will be a black hose coming out of it. then it might split into two via a connector then goes into the inlet manifold, can yo utake a pic of that connector?

Dude, what is the difference between climate control and A/C??? on mine if its blowing too cold just turn the heat knob to add a little warm air in there!! hence climate control!!
oh yeah as with south africa, all BMW's here with A/C and all E30's from BMW Japan so i guess all BMW Japan with A/C as standard!!!
nice
mrlee

cheers simon, i cant beleive it myself, just found out today, from bmw it has an alpina c2 2.7 engine box and suspension which was ordered when new, basically the full running gear conversion!! which the md ordered specifically, i also checked the logbook and this confirmed it, i thought it was origanally a 325i, i just didnt check, i thought it was a bit quick for an auto has lsd aswell, the offer from the technician has been upped from the Ԛ£2300 to Ԛ£4000, im so , so lucky the guy want's the car desperatley!!. i keep thinking im dreaming, this has turned out to be a rare car, it has been photographed by the head technician , and they are contacting the md who originally ordered it the conversion was carried out by sytners,Simon13 wrote:U lucky man!
