What would have originally been in a boot tidy? The type for 2 door cars with the battery in the engine bay!

Stupid question I know, But if I got one I would like it to be oem standard! :o: And does anyone find them useful in any way?

Thanks! :D

warning triangle, first aid kit and thats about it i think

not sure about yours though as the boot compartment is smaller on prefacelifts, well on pre 85 ones i think :)

Nothing interesting then! Do you find them useful at all or just a waste of space?

Yes! Somebody else cares about this! Here is mine, I have concluded the first aid kit and warning triangle go in the same pocket of the tub,
Behind the warning triangle is the OEM spare oil case. I'm not sure what goes in the pockets to the left and right of the warning triangle and first aid kit though. Anybody else know? I just put the BBS Centercap wrench in the pocket to the left

Ollie, I have one in my facelift, and although I don't use it for OEM type stuff it's very useful as I generally keep various 'just in case' bits in there aswell as a few CD's etc as I had a 10 disc changer in the boot.

So yeah, I think they are very useful. You can keep delicate stuff in the boot without it rolling around everytime you hit a roundabout. 8)

If you take the tidy out, a 20L jerry can slots in AMAZINGLY well, like it was made to go there.

Ollie, fire the BMW jack in the bin, and just use the space which it used to take up.
Assuming your boot is the same as mine of course.

I bought a face lift boot tidy and found with a couple of careful cuts, it fits very neatly into my chrome wheel well and looks OEM. Ideal for the first aid kit, triangle and jumper leads

If you take it out, two bags of shopping will sit in there nice and snug, and not roll around the boot. Keeps beer from fizzing up in your face later.
