If I break the engine, I have a spare in the garage
it just needs putting together first!

Eh? Its ok to BUY it. I have been on about stealing Cottys wheels for months and I now have my eyes on our engine/turbo set up. Back to my original question , What did wheel barrows have to do with this thread?

Answer to your earlier question, yes E28s have a steering box.
Im suprised to hear you found yours a bit sloppy, ive had many E28s and have found the them to drive much nicer than an E30, very solid.

I'm not saying it was sloppy, just too many turns lock to lock for my liking, just like the E30!SUMPCRACKER wrote:Answer to your earlier question, yes E28s have a steering box.

And I agree, I think they are great cars to drive!

Not so much if an update, but some better photos from the past!

Further back in time... Calm before the storm, mid july and the car is completely stock.

Engine out, bye bye overheated 2L L-Jet M20.

Engine in, hello 2.5L motronic M20 and an extra 50 bhp, this photo was taken at 3am...

I got some uber cheap 16 x 8 BBS, shown here with 7 series balloon tyres. I fitted 195/45s up front for some stretch and slightly more subtle 205/50s (courtesy of Bstarchild) at back.

PLANS
- Retain ride height but convert to coilovers front and rear
- M50 2.5 24v
- Replace fuel tank
- Fit M535i rear trailing arms
- Fit E34 525i brakes front and rear
I'm hoping to complete an M50 conversion in an E21 first though!

rob0r I think you've done an ace job with this car, well done chap
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Sure! I got a 2.5 non vanos and it was first fitted into my 316, but I got a 323i on the cheap and decided to fit it in there instead. The 316 is my baby, every other car I have is disposable IMO. The 316 will be getting a very special engine, so special I haven't made my mind up yet!DRIFTBOY wrote:That looks uber![]()
Any pics of the E21?
316 as standard except debumpered, slammed 60mm on spax and lovely 15" BBS mahles

+ M50

The 323i soon to be track weapon with the M50 due in any day now

More pics...

Yes, I broke it good and proper on the way home. I probably did see your touring but I spent all the day running around trying to fix the E28 so I can't remember it, have you got a photo?HairyScreech wrote:im guessing you were at the retro rides gathering then, must have seen my touring near the south west stand.
