i believe this is a relatively simple swap, not 100% on the gearbox though but hazarding a guess I'd say you have everything there to swap over

328i if its a Sport may well have an LSD if it hasn't got ASC depending on the age of the car - so I'd probably stick with that - a quick call to your local dealer with the VIN should tell you if there was one on the car when it left the factory.
As a simple starting point I'd get the cars up in the air and measure the propshafts to see if they're the same length and see if the diff/gearbox casings are roughly the same dimensions. If you're lucky you'll just have to swap the box over and fit the manual pedal box/clutch cylinders etc retaining the diff and prop from the 328i.

In theory you should have everything, the M50/52 engine is the same physical dimensions on the outside so the box/prop/diff and assorted bits should drop straight in to place.
The only problem could be what's mentioned above regarding LSD's

Diff ratio for an auto is better than the manual, it will have faster acceleration than the manual car if you convert it.
Gearbox/prop will bolt on but you will have to keep the 325i flywheel/clutch (not a problem) as the bell housings are different.
The ball ache will be with the pedal box

Well, the third one on the left does help
The getrag box I used on my first conversion was good, I could change gear without the clutch very easily, on runs I would often change between 4th and 5th without thinking about touching the pedal
