Fortunately for me the leather in the sport is not as bad as your start point, so i'm hoping it will turn out good :)

Did you spray the vinyl backing?

WOW, what a transformtion.
This kit looks really good.
It's a shame I have a rather large hole in my drivers seat bolster otherwise I would probably be making plans for a trip to Luton.

The results look good but how long does it stay on ? bearing in mind its only paint.
Does it not rub off ?

yes its paint bu it has a few layers of a special sealer over the top of it to keep it on. So basically no it doesn't rub off :D

check out there website for more details/explanation.

Highly recommended product btw.

I've got an M3 interior in original condition and was thinking about tidying it up first. Was wondering how the finish lasted lads?

Thanks for that Goldy.

I've used Liquid Leather to change the colour of an old set of seats a couple of years ago and again to tidy up the seats in my E36 Evo where the colour didn't change and in both cases it has worn off. I followed the instructions to the letter.

Should something be applied to the leather after it is dyed to stop the paint coming off.

I have done my seats and dont want any dye coming off in the future?

Also does anyone else feel that the seats are a lot more harder once dyed, i thought they would be soft.

Is there any type of leather conditioner that should be applied.

Thanks

Very impressive, looks like a job well done, however I am concerned as to how it will stand up to use, please could you let us know after say 6 months or so how it´s holding up!

well i originally posted and did the seats back in june 09 so a quick update on how there holding up.

Small wear patch on bottom of drivers seat - looks like its mainly my fault tho wearing blue jeans! i went for months trying not to wear them and even put towels on the seats when driving long distances! but it was a bit like a new years resolution i suppose and only lasted a few months.

in answer to a couple of other points - i did lots of coats of the matt finishing (laquer if you like - thats in the kit) to try and keep them protected for as long as poss, and yes mine are a lot harder than before - think thats all the coats of stuff on top of the softer leather beneath tho, small price to pay imo.

i bought the conditioner that furniture clinic sell, it enhances the leather smell and my theory was if its from them and the kits from them - well you can work it out!

when the weather improves i might take some update pictures if anyone wants?

roll on summer :P

Looks good. Just bought leather seats for mine so I think I'm going to have a go with this kit before I fit it into the car. Found these two vids on YouTube:
