e30 or e36?

316i at my local auctions tomorrow, the only details i can get from the site are aug 1991 on a j plate, its a green 4 door, does anyone know if this would be a e30 or e36?
i assume ill be able to have it for less than £200 but i only want it if its an e30

I think j is deffos E36 mate unless it a touring or caby. I have had sallon e30 and e36 both on h plates. E30 sallon and coupes stopped on h unless I am mistaken. If I am rest assured someone will be along to correct me in a sec :teehee:

she'll be a e36 mate.buy it ,fragg it,put the money towards an e30

is it worth anything as bits? all ide have is the steering rack,

theres a couple of e30s on ebay i think ill wait for them

318 e36 isn't worth anything as a car or as bits leave well alone mate

I once nearly bought an e30 316i lux on a J reg, so they do/did exist. As above far likely to be an e36.

well its gotta be worth the drive down to have a look, its early on in the auction so hopefully will go for penuts, i cant really loose moneys!

Could well be a E30, E30's ended in 1994 (L plate) :)

It could be an E30 a friend of mine had J reg 316i.

Also ive seen a 325i se on a J plate (1991) 4 door. Heres the link for it

ill have a look, but have just brought a 318 touring, most likely to be a fragger as there was many rattles on the way home and the heater didnt get hot so could also have a head fail.

worth a punt will go and have a look at the other one tomorrow,
