is not charging / working & hasn't worked since I plugged it in..
I admit, this isn't the most compicated thing, but I have checked for voltage at the charging point which is ok
They crack open ok I guess, and apart from dodgy contacts & bulb, do batteries die like this?

& it's time to buy a new torch, possibly keep the bulb? or will I find non proprietory batteries I can replace?
