I was reading about this a while back before it was completed. So much amazing engineering has gone into that to run the V10 properly and get the geometry on the E90 suspension spot on without ruining the look of the car.

Seriously. F*cking. Cool.
Not in E30s any more :(

Usually I dissaprove of stuff like that, my response always is "why not just use a normal e30 shell?"
But in this case..........

Shame they didn't make it a total sleeper - stock looking interior, exhaust etc would have been even cooler. But, bloody hell, whata machine, and what a build! Epic.

that is amazing, would be so nice to have the ability, the funds and the tools required to be able to do something like that.

It looks great in that colour too.

on a serious note though this is the complete other end of the scale to what your doing to your resto which is amazing in its own right the v10 build is another way of pushing the boundaries just like the v16 7 series i read about yesterday :D

just imagine sitting in that at the traffic lights & some little numpty pulling up along side in his type r thing & seeing an e30 sat next to him, you just know he's going to be thinking "when the lights go amber i'll leave that old car for dead",

but as we all know as soon as the lights change your gone & the type r clone is sat there wondering what the hell you've done to the car.

i wonder if it could beat a 318is??

sorry i just couldn't resist..........................................................i'll get my coat.

It's an interesting project. And it's been done by the look of it very well indeed.

BUT.

I can't help but think it's all a little irrelevant. What do we think? $150K+ (V10 is $30K!)Sure he's got a 1 off car, but for that money you could have had something very, very good. Which would also muller that car round a racetrack. Hell, spend $15K on a E30 M3 and you'll beat it round a racetrack and still have the S14.

IMO anyone can go buy a fast car for x amount and drive it. The thing I like is making a nice unique car that can't just be bought. He has used skills very few have and ended up with a car that is totally amazing. That is just my opinion.

EFA. This was not some guy in a garage with a MIG. This was a chequebook car in every sense of the word. If I had that sort of money, even as a fan of E30 M3's I wouldn't be bothering with something like this at all
