anyone got any ideas for some sort of front lip i can fit to my compacts front bumper.

must look pretty much oem, i just want something to bring the bumper down to the same level as the front edge of the sills. something like the standard e30 lip but with a bit of a curve might work.

seen replica alpina lips which give the depth and are pretty subtle, but i wonder about them lasting when theyll be running pretty close to the ground, plus they have the alpina lettering moulding in which i would be wanting to remove.

seen another lip, similar to the e30 is lip in style, but way too deep for my car. laguna lip is a bit too oldschool and i prefer smooth and unvented. doesnt need to be deep, 50mm would probably be enough just to finish off the front end.

has to work with a standard basemodel front bumper too as i like the clean simple lines and don't want to go for an m3 style bumper.

this is the only pic that shows the height difference clearly,

ideas, suggestions opinions welcomed :D

don't want to go m3, it's not the look i'm after. prefer the low, smooth, simple euro look, especially as it's only a 1.6. it would only get m3 style bits if it had m3 type power :P

it's a runabout to get to work and back in, collect parts when the good cars are broken, take bootfulls of crap to the tip. the 1.6 does just fine, but i'd still like it to look nice.

cheers maxfield, i was sure there was a renault lip thatwould work, the only ones i could think of off the top of my head were the laguna, espace (same as laguna but deeper) and the previous shape clio, none of which ithink would work with my car.

what i'd really like to do would be to cut the bumper and make it deeper whilst still looking standard to the untrained eye, i just don't have the time or enthusiasm any more!

JWaller, it's only on the BBS while the m3 is off the road again, a set of e34 m5 turbines are supposed to be it's normal wheels. I am thinking of sticking the m3 back on some standard 16in wheels and keeping the style 5s on the compact all the time (until they start salting the roads again anyway)
cheers,

harry
