well when you drive like i do this is what happens!! in all the years i have been driving i have broke the speed limit 99% of the time... the 1% is me keeping to the limit because of the car infront slowing me down or i have been warned that the scum is waiting up the road, i do flash them and wave as i go past, then down a cog and drop the proverbial hammer... saying that if everyone drove like me i feel the congestion problems in Great Britain would be solved...

3 points & £60 fine or you may get offered a speed awareness course which costs £60 and no points.
They posted it 3rd August and the offence committed on 27th July, so they are wihtin the 14 days they are required to send out the NIP.
In my opinion, little point trying to be a hero contesting it and playing games not revealing who was driving etc, or asking for calibration certificates etc etc

cost of a tank of fuel and 3 points, hardly worth worrying about....unless you already have 9 points!

Got what you deserved I'm afraid!
Hopefully you'll end up with a ban, driving like a prick isn't big, clever... cool.. whatever.
Just wait until you run out of talent and kill someone. See if you come on here bragging then!

Yup, take your medicine. I used to drive like a tit, but two lots of 3 points within a month of each other persuaded me to calm down. All from mobile cameras too - they're the buggers that can catch you out.

Not a copper, I know someone that has died thanks to this sort of driving.
So I feel quite strongly about it, that's all.

You brought it on yourself Tim, having said that, is there one person on here that
has not exceeded the speed limit at one time or another.

i cant stand these sort of answers ,
it drives me mad ,
the sort of person that looks down on people driving fast down their road but would drive fast them selfs down other peoples roads because they think they are better drivers than others or thinks everyone that over takes them is a lunitic because they themselfs hold traffic up in the middle lane.
sorry but if your the sort of person that watches tv programs so they can complain about them not just ignoor them and turn over the you need to learn the way of the world and get your head out of your .......

So you drive like dickheads so we all do?
Fucking morons!
Love how you stick up for it, but I've seen other 'newbs' being condemned for saying how they speed down a dual carriage way at night.
There is nothing clever about it and when it affects you personally then you might take a different view on it.
EDIT: This is my last post on this topic, I don't think anyone here is in agreement with me. I stick by what I've posted anyway.
I save stupid driving for track days, living near goodwood helps.

Now I've gone back on what I said about not posting, last post. Honest.

Calm down kids! I think e30bmlover's comment about driving over the speed limit 99% of the time probably touched a nerve - I'm sure that wasn't a purely scientific measure though! When it comes down to it, we all like to balance the enjoyment of driving with the risks - everyone's opinion on the precise location of this ideal compromise is different, but at least we're all thinking about it, rather than blindly driving flat out everywhere. 53 in a 40 isn't the world's biggest crime, but it is an infringement and must be dealt with. It's best to remember to drive to the conditions of the road you are on, almost regardless of the speed limit - yesterday I drove along a cambered, twisty, single track road lined with houses with driveways, and the limit was 40; frankly 20mph felt risky in the circumstances!

its a true statment though ( driving over the speed limit 99% of the time )... i just cant help it!! lucky i only have a 328, what would it have been in a m3evo?? it would have been an instant ban... thats what it would have been... i would have felt the torque with a grin on my face, maybe the ass would have kicked out... while my licence is going up in flames!!!
