Why would you need to swap the pedals?

You can use a M50 from either an E36 or an E34, but it will need to be fitted with the E34 sump and oil pick up pipe, and will need the aluminium engine mount arms from an E36.

no really new to mechanics, but more new to bmw as i had 1.4 minis, vtec hondas and 2.0 itb vauxhall novas, where i had pretty much everything interchangeable! so i read the stickys for the engine conversion and i understand that, i just want to know if its easier and cheaper to buy a doner e36 or go to the scrappies and stealers for the parts to convert auto to manual.
