Guys im looking for someone who knows how to remove the headlining out of a E24 and be able to put it back in looking like a factory finish? :)
Reason be is I need some welding done to the roof
From what I have found out front and rear windscreen need removing, but thats ok as ill be putting her in for a paint job if all goes well.
Car is located in south east london.
If anyone out there is willing or able or knows some who is give me a bell on 07813 002571.
Cheers Sean.

Don't do it.

I'm assuming that you're doing this to repair a small line of rust bubbles behind the sunroof? The roof will distort no matter how good your welder is or thinks he is. It's too large and flat a poanel to avoid it.

I've seen this repair done properly. Cut out the rusty area in one strip using a nibbler. Cut a repair panel overlapping it by half an inch all round. Joddle the edges all round to raise the part that will form the new roof skin to the correct profile. Now bond the repair panel in place using a panel bond adhesive and clamps.

No distrrtion and a skim of filler to tidy it up.

Weld it and your car will never look right again.

It shouldn't be beyond the skills of any decent bodyshop.

This is my bodyman's answer to not wanting to weld in this area on my cabbie,
