The old track car has been loosing water and it looked like the water pump was leaking,, started to strip out the old one and found this.

Been very luck as my last trackday was at anglesey,, which for me is quite a long drive, so far touch wood in three years of very hard trackday use this car has never let me down.

its a gem. :cool:

Would it be worth making an inspection 'hole/slot' in the cover for the next one?

An inspection hole in the cover is a good idea,, a water pump bolt had sheared and i think may have become lodged near tensioner pulley and belt as the pulley is also damaged. 8O

Ye did the lottery as i was feeling lucky :D best go and check the results.
