You could paint the lot and then sand down the front of the spokes to reveal silver again, then lacquer.daimlerman wrote:Looking good, thinking about trying to do the spokes black(to hide the brake dust!)but leaving the front of them silver, but the masking up would drive me crazy!

Yes Imy, for the immediate future at least.ImysE30 wrote:Does that mean your keeping the cabby now?

i done the same thing yesterday lolgooner1 wrote: Had a very pleasant blast with the top down yesterday, and our relationship has been re- kindled.

I did this a while ago to one of my standard 15" BBS (no lacquer though). Painted the whole thing black, polished the lip, then used a detail sander to remove the paint from the front of the spokes, gradually working my way through the grades. I reckon it gives a more realistic "cross spoke" effect, as well as the illusion of longer spokes:oakey wrote:You could paint the lot and then sand down the front of the spokes to reveal silver again, then lacquer.daimlerman wrote:Looking good, thinking about trying to do the spokes black(to hide the brake dust!)but leaving the front of them silver, but the masking up would drive me crazy!
