in the above pic the black ones look great, it kind of hides them and adds to the smooth euro look
cheers,

If that's your car in your signature then the obvious choice is white because the rest of your car is white. Even your sills are painted white. What would black mirrors compliment on your car? If you had some black trim then the black mirrors would have some colour balance. It looks like you have darkened front windows too so the black mirrors would sort of disappear without giving you a contrast. The might go well with the black wheels though.
Check out this pic to see what I mean
All black bumper, black mirrors, black trim and it has a complete look and theme.

Black could work well with the black wheels, tinted windows, black front end but i'd go for white

Spray your sills black again or better still get some black SE skirts and it might look pretty cool as the wheels, brake ducts, rub strips, lip are all black plus the smoked lights.
Two more things then would be a Tec 1 spoiler as that's black and white too as well as a black oil-cooler grille to put between the black brake ducts.
black mirrors should be easy to pick up second hand so might as well just buy a set and see what they are like.
You can always put the old ones back on again if you don't like it

Yeap this is my car and thanks to bournout I have a spare pair to have a go...
I'm thinking to do a pair satin black just because when you look from the front of the car the mirrors looks like elephant ears

Exactly like the ones on the tec2 kitted E30 above! Black bracket things, and colour coded mirrors!

i think the black would go well on your car with those wheels, you have a spare set so do it anyway and if you dont like it you have always got the white ones to put back on

Feck it! that was my idea for my track car if I couldn't get real DTM mirrors
Would break up the colour of them nicely I think.

And black ones look like dog ears

Yeah, I think the backing plates in white looks a bit odd, personally. especially with Shadowline trim

OK, so it's not as obvious on my E30 as it's Diamond black, but I've done the plates satin black and the casings in gloss black.
When I get 'round to it, I'm going to refurb the colour-coded mirrors I took off the same way - satin black plates and Diamond casings.
I like the look of those white ones, somehow the colour-coded plates on light coloured cars don't look right to me.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

I love the look of the povo spec bumpers and mirrors on my Lasch silver car. So much so I painted my brand new iS lip black and will be adding SE skirts in povo spec black plastic too, and an MTech 1 spoiler with only the trim bit lasch.. With a de-chrome kit I think the result will be awesome.
I vote satin black, better still get some from a povo spec that are already black and dont need paint.

That's the look I prefer - colour coding makes e30s look too modern IMO. In due course I think I'll be adding this combo to the brown un - black SE sill covers, tech one boot spoiler and black iS front spoiler.
