Drove down to the Pub last night to make sure all was ok, got our own area and what a location !!!

Meeting at Portsdown Hill around 1100 and then once again a drive through the sweeping south downs to the pub in the middle of nowhere !

THE PUB

The landlord Dave and his good lady Sarah will give us an exclusive parking area once again BUT NO BARBEQUE but full menu available from the pub (see website for menu, kids food available).

So, 1100 up the hill, 1145ish depart. Pub will remain open for drinks till 1500 but we can stay as long as we wish.

Kiddy friendly place and great for dog walks too.

'Tis indeed mate, from Brighton, head for Portsmouth.
Postcode for the pub directly opposite is PO6 3LS, hope this helps.

Cool, thanks. I can see the pub on Google Maps, are you meeting at the pub or the little turn-off called Portsdown Hill Road (not the B2177)?

Are many people meeting there, or are most going straight to the pub?

We'll be on Portsdown Hill Road, in a long layby opposite the pub.
This is - looking at Google myself, a bit to the right of where you're looking. You will see Widley Walk as the next road to the right. The pub is to the right of Widley Walk on the map. You can then see the long layby just the other side of that, on the south side.

good day! what summer should be all about. lovely weather, loads of E30s, nice country drive, nice pub, good lunch (ditto from Scrumps for the free chicken ) and nice company, as always.
