rubber around windows?

what is the bas way to treat rubber around front and rear windows?
It's light grey with some wax marks

Good wash to clean off any grease and then a quick/cheap fix is shoe polish, the liquid type and then back to black.

This is only temp but looks like new.

good wash, then i use auto glym rubber & vynal care, comes up a treat
