Right been trying to get the IS to look abit more standard as although i do like the look of the car with the head lights out i do prefure the origonal look better.

The car as it is at the minute.

Image

As the intercoolers in the way of fitting normal head lights ive fitted some outer ones with side, dip and main and have been playing around with some lights for the inner holes.

Put some standard inner lights in the ovan for 4mins at 160c and removed the lenses which almost fell off and have bought some mirroes from a ebay ferm who do custom ones £11 for two acrylic mirrors 13cm dia and then glued them in to the old lenses.

plan is to screw the mettle outer to the black front grill to hold them all in place.

What do people think? only problem is wiht the new inners being flat and not convex they dont reflect the sky the same as the origonals unless your looking streight on.

there not fitted properly yet but do people think they will look? :?

The garage isnt clear thats the front bit 'car only' theres a shelf/bench over the boot of the car, you can see the blue racking in the pic then theres a walk way and a bench against the back of the garage to make the 'workshop' bit and you cant get through the door. Lol

much better than single lamps. Having the intercooler piping so visible ruins the 'sleeper-ness'

hmmm definately looks better but a little odd from some angles. Would it be possible to smoke all four? So it looks like smoked hellas

Stunning car though.

If they are acrylic can you heat them up and put some concave into them?

Ya thought about that, but cant realy see a way round it.

Good idea Dan my dad also suggested this and it my be somthing to try but the acrylic has a coating and dont know if this would strech and form the same. :? also its tighty tight for space behind the lense.

Rich have you got any great idea in making?? or are you leaving yours? :D

Nah just bits of mesh, when I get the car out the garage I'll get some pictures of it :) I've yet to get a proper perspective of how it all looks now.
