Anyway lovely chromie you have got there, in superb condition!
In the long run I also think that a spoiler would ruin the look of my ride. Thanks for helping me and I am really curious to see the way it would look like anyway.
hennabm wrote:Welcome to a fellow 83 chrome car. It looks very good and well cared for. I too run mine as standard except for a steering wheel and air horns. 8)

What part of France are you in as we shall be there in a few weeks time, heading for Riverennes.

Look forward to seeing more pictures of it .
I live in Compiègne, 50 kilometers north of Paris. Hope to see you and your great looking car on the french roads soon ;)

Belle, not beau mate, because car is feminine.... sorry to be picky but you wouldn't like your gender changed would you?

Lovely car mathieud60, I know you wrote you live in the north but the 83 registration is the Var isn't it? Don't see many good E30s around there at all!

Thanks mate. I live in the North of France (in Oise actually - 50 kilometers north of Paris). When my grand father moved to the Var back in 1993, he took the BMW there so this is the reason why my car is registered in this region at the moment. I do not plan to change it because I would have to put the new registration plates and it would not fit my car at all. E30s with black registration plates look so much better. Many E30s in this part of France look pretty crappy mostly because of the sun (I do not have such a problem where I live since it's raining most of the time...). My grand-father didn't use this car that much (around 30,000 kilometers in 10 years...) so it remained stored in a garage this is mainly why it hasn't suffered neither from sun nor from rust.

C'est super de voir des francophones ici! Merci pour ton message et peut-être à bientôt sur les routes françaises ou lors d'un meeting organisé par E30 Passion, un forum français que je te conseille également. Bonne route à toi l'ami Anglais!

Merci beaucoup! French is a pretty hard language to learn so don't worry about your mistakes. That was a good try actually!

I guess it was time to update the topic dedicated to my car after all that time...
Since the last updates, the whole interior has been restored and a few other works have been made during the past few months/years. It is still such an incredible joy for me to drive my car every time I go back home. Back in April 2010, we drove to Stockholm from Paris, enjoying the German motorways and some wonderful landscapes along the road to the Swedish capital and before heading to the North Pole with a more adequate ride considering the weather and traffic conditions at that time of the year. Such wonderful memories that I've shared on my website dedicated to the M10 engine: http://www.m10-online.net
Feel free to have a look and let me know what you guys think about it even though most of the content is in French. You'll find as well a few updates dedicated to my recent journey in the USA where I've spotted lots of old bimmers between the east and west coasts... Lots of time between my last updates and this one but still my passion for my car remains the same.

Hi everybody !

Since most of my previously posted pictures have now been erased, I thought that it was time to post some new ones here as requested by some members by private message.
Ever since my previous post, I have made a few more work on my 1983 318i so my car will be ready for the upcoming Transalp Cup 2012 scheduled for the begining of May 2012. To be make it short, the event is a 5 day and 1600 kilometer road-trip between Lyon, the French, Italian and Swiss Alps and Paris. We have lots of pittoresque yet tiny moutain roads and passes ahead so a few modifications seemed to be more than mandatory to make the journey even more unforgettable and enjoyable. Bilstein B4s and new H&R lowered coil springs replaced the genuine parts last wednesday and the result is was above my expectations when it comes to both external appearance and driving sensations. You will find a few pictures after the jump and more are to come next month - this time in way more exotic landscapes...

By the way, here is my website dedicated to all M10-powered BMW including 2002s, E21s and early E30s: http://www.m10-online.net
