What's wrong with the Zone?

I keep having major hassles trying to either get onto the Zone or looking at threads, making posts, sending PM's etc.

Keep getting this message

There seems to be a problem with the MySQL server, sorry for the inconvenience.

We should be back shortly.

Anyone else having this?

Zone shop is a possibility as that would run off SQL..I reckon the server itself was a bit unstable tho that's all.

It's nothing to do with the zone, it'a a problem at our hosts.

There's nothing we can do if\when this happens.

yep had the problem this whole afternoon that I couldn't log on it said straight away problem with server etc etc

The offer of webspace is very kindly offered to us by a zone member so we can't complain if we get the occasional hiccup.

It happens once in a blue moon so I don't really think it's anything to complain about. Compared to other forums I use, this is one of the best with regard to performance.

I have to admit I never have a problem getting onto the site, and it always responds quickly. I think a big thanks is in order to the zoner who provides the web space too... fitting for the phrase 'LEGEND'!

This site sits on a server somewhere in the world,
what i was saying is do we own it or is it just webspace that is rented
If we own it I could get us a monster server.

I work for the NHS in IT im a field service consultant,

no i dont fix fields..

but the NHS has loads of spare cash and buys far to much stuff
