Hi all

I am in the stages of a complete engine rebuild, although i have come across a hurdle. The engine is a 1989 318i, on the throttle body there are two vacum pipe nipples, one pipe is on there which goes to a black vacum pot and on the otherside there is a short pipe with a screw in then end! im sure this isnt standard BMW spec but my question is what pipe should be on the right hand side vacum nipple if you look at it face on, and secondly where should it go?

any help appreciated.

just a guess as i havent seen a 318i in a long while but would it not be for a heater plate on the tb or something like that coming from the matrix?
