how do i check a reg plate

i've read other people doing a reg check on here and well,
how do you do it.

Text the car reg to 86300 and it will come back with number of previous owners, status not stolen or scrapped, date of manufacture and if its had any colour changes and make model and if its manual or auto also whether its been written off by insurance companies.
