Does anyone know which coolant hose goes where on a 325 auto?
Say, the hose that connects to the box closest to the where the dipstick is attached, which side of the radiator does it also connect to?

Thanks, Craig

Eh, have you taken the cables out? becouse you can't mix them without bending them, so shouldn't be any problem too see where they should go. anyway i think the bottom hole on the radiator should go to the bottom hole on the gearbox.

No, what it was, i couldnt find a 323 auto box, so i just bought and fitted one from a 325. But it turns out the pipes have different connections, so i put my pikey cap on and thought gypo for a few seconds, then decided to just cut and weld the ends from one to the other :o:
Should of really marked them as to which goes where first - :x oops!

Weld? lol. I wouldn't to that heh.
Well i checked on my car, upper hose on radiator goes on the side of the gearbox, and the bottom on the radiator, bottom of gearbox.
Btw you shure the connectors wasn't the same? as far as i know all bmw uses the same connectors, but a small problem when unscrewing the pipe is that a screw with threads on both sides goes out with the pipe, what i did here was to put some loctite on it then screwed it tight back on the gearbox, waited for around 20min then screwed the pipe off again.

Ahh, it'llbe right winkeye ive used much worse pikey-tech in the past
Yeah, theyre deffo different. Cant remember which is which now, but on the ends of one hose set, the connectors are like a hoop??? with a bolt fastener
And the other set, its like a pipe with a nut over it, you push the pipe into the hole and then tighten the nut up to lock it in

Thanks a lot for looking for me dude  , if we had a virtual bar on here, id buy you a drink :)

Ah you mean a bolt through a hole in the pipe? Haven't seen that on the old bmw's. Hope it works, make shure your pipe is clean, any dirt there will break something.
