Ollie_bwoii wrote:IMO was a very good car! Just was time too let it go! :D And Yep I think my Nan would be happy about that price!

My Nan had that MGB, and my Pap had an MG K2 which recently sold and an MG K3 which is up for auction soon and is listed on the H&H website! Which will leave a nice sum for an AC Ace! :D
Wow.

K2?! This one?

If so, they quote the sale price as £8800. Shome Mishtake Shurely?

These are proper cars. I'm impressed and I'm notoriously difficult to impress. Tell us more.

No my Nan passed away and it was her MGB and his K types! It was a thing they shared together, and now my Pap wants to move on!

An AC Ace is a possibility because he loved the AC engined one he had a few years back! :D

Wow, seems like your dad has (or had) quite the collection of motors ollie! No wonder where your E30 taste for older cars came from.

Although my dad has also had his fair share of cool old cars (not much during my lifetime), such as cortina's, capri's, a mustang, and so forth the only thing left is an unfinished 22y.o. kit car called a lomax. Which we may finish one day. He's recently bought a cover for it so he can roll it outside to use the garage space! Might make him think of getting off his ass and finishing it.

Although, apparently him and his mate are thought of as one of the first people to ever put a seirra cossworth engine into a cortina, due to their friend stacking his brand new cossie within a few days of release. They bought the perfect and new engine for cheap and fitted it into their toy cortina. Saw some photos a few years back and it looke quality. Apparently its somewhere in the UK nowadays, if the 300+bhp monstrosity hasn't been stacked.
