Looks like it will pull out with a dozer (bodyshop tool), you can also use a large tree and a strong rope. Take the money, keep the car and repair it your self. Oh and bad luck!!! Hope it works out

All that needs is a complete rear panel and the edge of the boot floor straightening out. Obviously a new rear bumper to but that will push the cost of the repair up so maybe get a second hand one yourself and speak to the estimator when he prices up the repair.

No boot floor needed there!

thx for the idea but if its not done properly i will just loose interest in the whole thing. im ok with the boot floor being straightend but its got to have a rear pannel/valance.

That'll pull out

You can keep possession of the car, there's no need for it to be taken by insurance company and put into storage, its your property..

If it gets written off and classed as a Cat C, then you can buy it back, the agreed amount for this will be knocked off of the total that they agree to pay you, minus your excess..

It's normally 20%, so if they agree on a grand payout, then you can buy it back for £200.

Then its just a case of get it repaired and then submit it for a Vic check with did cost £36(think its just gone up)and its nowt to worry about, just a numbers check

Dave a word of warning, if they have given you a cheque...it normally means it has been written off surely? Only a D or as I suspect a C in this case, but none-the-less it will effect its future value. Whether that bothers you or not is another matter I guess. At least they didn't Cat B the car!

i have double double checked even after the assesor left. it 100 percent not a wright off. i thought it wierd too as the assesor said i had the option if i said for them to repair it they would have written it off. or opt for a cash pay out to cover the cost of repairs and a few quid in me bin.
also checked once repaired it does not need a vic check nor to be re motd.

cheers any ways for the heads up.
