has anyone dyed their cloth seats with the black dye used for dying carpets etc, any pics, cheers

If you mean the stuff people use on here then I doubt it, it's not designed for use on seats, I think it actually states that on the bottle. used it on some cloth inserts on my door cards, it rubbed off the slightly it also comes off carpet too over time. I have marks on my trainers to prove it.

You will need the correct type of dye. Most dyes won't take to polypropylene and other acrylic type materials. Standard type dyes are only suitable for nylon (such as early E30 carpets), wool, etc

Wilkinsons dyes will not do the job at all (from experience) - these are made by Dylon IIRC
