theyre just standard m8 x 25mm (maybe 30mm) stainless buttonhead allen bolts, and decent ironmongers should sell them, but by the time you add washers and nuts it might work out cheaper to buy a complete kit.

i was going to swap mine to those as theyre so much easier to clean than the raised stud standard type, or the 12 point bbs type, but i needed the wheels back together in a hurry and just reused what i had.

the standard splined studs have an 8mm shank and m7 thread, so a standard m8 bolt fits through the holes fine.

The only thing with s/steel bolts is that they are "Soft".
We use s/steel screws on shower enclosures and you can easilt fook up the heads on them.
Just advice, that's all

Your 100% correct fella.
I have a feeling somebody is making a big mark-up selling these kits as in my first posting.
1000 kit on flea bay delivered is £50 and thats enough bolts, nuts and washers for 2 full sets of alloys.
136 bolts per set of wheels.@M8 30mm
Not keen on mixing metals either. But the original bolts that come on the wheels are crap because thet will just rust again.

I'm getting my BBS bolts polished, 120 of them and then chromed, see how much that'll set me back.
But i'm sure there was a post on these a few months back about the qulity of them being bad.

What a hero, digging my trusty screwfix catalogue out:

Bolts: £9.20 for 100, so say £13
Nuts: £5 for a 100, so say £7
Washers: £1.50 for a 100 so £2.

What a great idea.

The tight git didn't even offer the nylock nuts at a mear £7.50/100 but that would have given the game away!

Back to being serious, I am not sure I'd try it with mine.

have stainless m7 bbs type bolts with no spline section and they're fine. Been on the car almost 3 years, two wheel rebuilds thousands of road miles and a trackday. There's 34 of the buggars on each wheel, you'd probably snap the flange on the rim before breaking all the bolts.

The centres are a nice snug fit in the rim too, so the bolts are really just to clamp it together so the mounting faces take all the load. The bolts will be under most stress when the wheel is being pulled by te hub, I.e the unloaded inside wheel through a corner. I would 100% trust a set of normal stainless bolts. Just torque them up evenly and go round rechecking them all.
