Right Guys - Date is Saturday 5th September!
We should aim to arrive at Munich Legends about midday, so leave Pompey about 10.30!
They have said that if they don't have much in, in the way of sales they will organise for some nice cars to be there for us to look at!
They have also said they will have a mechanic on duty should anyone want their car tinkering with!!

And so the list begins:

Hi Gordon

There was a rumour that the s14 camchain needed repacing at a 100kmiles or your putting your engine at grave risk  ? I don't know where it started, but this trip is just a day out to look around the w/shops/car sales showroom, I asked they obliged.

I've never been there and have no personal gain.

Just thought it would make a pleasant change of scenary with a pub lunch  and some nice machinery :bmw: with some fellow enthusiasts, with no politics involved.

I wouldnt blame Paul at all if he pulled out of this one - he's trying to organise something for the guys and he's getting sniped at by guys who NEVER organise anything

Hey, it's been done before. It was the first BMW "meet" I went to. Turned up knowing nobody, but still keep in contact with 3 people I met that day.

Basically early E28 M5 has a single chain which BMW say the interval is 100K. Sadly ML forget the E30 M3 has a DUPLEX chain. Which is the same as the E36 and E46 chains. Which even BMW say there is NO interval for. No one outside of England (who've spoken to those knobs) believe the interval is 100K. There are less than 4 cases AFAIK of chains snapping. And even 2 of those may be consequential damage, not the underlying problem.
